Business Development Director

MoJo Active, a 360-agency in Central, Pennsylvania is looking for a national-caliber Business Development Director to join our team. The Business Development Director will lead activities for key prospects in the Marketing Services and eCommerce space. Prospects are located all across the United States. This position is responsible for developing and tracking all sales pipeline activity in a very fast-paced agency.

The successful candidate will be extremely organized, efficient, and responsible. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, and a strong attention to detail. Experience in the application of digital marketing solutions is key to success in this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue objectives by driving engagement and adoption of MoJo Active Lead Generation and ecommerce Solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities within the ecommerce and lead generation space.
  • Network and build relationships with executives, marketing directors, and sales leaders within the assigned target industries.
  • Drive awareness of and affinity for MoJo Active holistic marketing solutions.
  • Proactively track and manage sales performance; drive growth in sales activity levels and conversions. Understand and measure risks and opportunities and monitor channel performance trends at all times.
  • Heavily influence MoJo Active marketing efforts, based on experience and observations in the marketplace.

NOTE: Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, remote work is required. Once restrictions are lifted, however, approximately 30% travel will be expected.

Skills, Education, and Experience:


  • 10+ years experience in an ecommerce agency or digital agency in a sales role (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong sales experience, proven background of being a sales leader and ongoing revenue generator. Strong command of overall sales processes.
  • Marketing Services, Marketing and Advertising Technology, Agency, or related field experience.
  • Command of Digital marketing concepts and firm understanding of the digital partner ecosystem.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaborative and influencing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent proposal writing capabilities.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Highly preferred:

  • Agency experience preferred.
  • A strong understanding of ecommerce.
  • Experience with BigCommerce and/or Shopify.
